ADD A LAYER

To create a new layer and determine its name and options, go to Layer> New > Layer or use Shift + Ctrl + N .

You can also select New Layer from the Layers panel menu. Determine the name and other options and then select OK. The new Layer is chosen automatically, and it appears in the panel directly over the Layer that was selected last. Then, you can work on the new layer by adding text, images or any form of design you want.

ADD A TEXT LAYER

To create a text layer, simply choose the Type tool and highlight the image area. It is also possible to click and drag to create a text area. There is an Options bar that gives you more control over changes like size, font, the color of the text, and blending mode.
